Rabari Top

This top is a modern interpretation of the men's clothing of the Rabari tribe in India. The authentic Rabari jacket is a short shirt with fine pleats which allows air to circulate when the body moves to keep the wearer cool, and the long sleeves are rolled up to keep insects out, a design unique to nomadic tribes in desert regions. The embroidery design was also pursued in this piece, which is full of attention to detail.
