Zori made of tenugui fabric for summer footwear. They are made in Nara Prefecture, which has been producing zori since the Edo period. The tenugui fabric is dyed with a special technique called shizome, which absorbs perspiration and dries quickly. The design is based on the motif of a fan, as if the wind is dancing. Since this is a full-patterned towel, the pattern will differ from one to another.
